Adoption Information

Adoption Day will be held on the first Saturday of every other month starting in February, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Come to Pamida at that time to find your perfect pet.

All adoptions are at the discretion of the Stevens Community Humane Society. We reserve the right to refuse adoption to any person.

Adoption Fees

  • $100.00 for dogs and puppies
  • $75.00 for cats
  • $25 for kittens under 3 months - ( first deworming and distemper given)

What Is the Adoption Fee For?

The adoption fee helps to cover the cost of:

  • Operational expenses and animal care.
  • Vaccinations and other preventative treatment for all animals.
  • Nearly all pets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption

Low Cost Spay/Neuter Initiative!

SCHS has obtained a grant to assist the community in spaying and neutering pets. Applications are available at the Public Library and Common Cup. A Word version of the form can be obtained here or a PDF version can be printed from here.
