Featured Pet

Bootsie is a very beautiful, sweet, playful and cuddly cat. She is mostly black with a white bowtie under her chin and four white feet. (boots) Her eyes are yellow to green. She loves to sit near or on us when we're sitting on a couch or chair. She doesn't jump on counters although I have caught her on the table once, but she listens well and comes when she's called. She is very tolerant of the toddler in our house. She carries her around, hugs her tight and has even sat on her without a peep. She's never bitten or scratched anyone, not even in self defense of the toddler We feel she should be placed in a home with no other pets as she does not seem to be fond of them. She's extremely soft and loves to be petted. Bootsie is up to date on her shots, is house trained, and is spayed.

Forever Homes

Emma presented herself to a SCHS Board member by falling down at her feet in the middle of the street. The Board member who found her recalls, "Though Emma was sick, she was still fearless. She came with me to the Science Building on campus while I figured out what to do with her. Even then, she was fearless and chirped at everyone she met." Her family reports that Emma still meets all visitors at the front door. "She thinks everyone is here to see her." Emma was nearly starved, having only eaten from seed fallen from bird feeders, according to neighborhood residents. Emma was suffering from a respiratory infection and had a birth defect that complicated her breathing. Though Emma was very popular at Adoption Days, she was a foster cat for a very long time. Eventually, however, she found her forever home and a human family as well as several feline siblings who love her.
